Even amid the “worst week of his campaign” according to multiple news outlets, Donald Trump still holds a commanding lead in the political race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.
It seems clear that the Trump campaign’s attitude toward publicity is a classic one: There’s no such thing as bad publicity.
Trump has run his campaign in a way that glorifies the fact that he is a political outsider. Many media outlets attack him for his lack of experience but Trump continues to fight back in the way that hurts the Republican establishment most: at the polls.
It will be interesting to see how his political opponents and other powerful voices go about attacking Trump as the November election looms. Every tactic so far has arguably backfired. Will that continue to be the case in the coming months?
