Most of us know that the book Fifty Shades of Grey was popular when it was released, especially when word spread that there would be a movie version. A charity shop has now banned the book from being donated to her charity shop. It is an erotic book that many women have bought over time and supposedly are wanting to get rid of after they read it.
What does it mean that this charity shop is collecting so many copies of this book? I see it as bad PR for the book itself, because usually people will buy a book and keep it, especially if it was a good book, they could always go back to read it again. Guess Fifty Shades of Grey is not one of those books. The shop received hundreds of copies of the book and wants to stop the donations for this specific read. There is a second movie planned which could mean people would want to re-read the first book to recall what did happen and what could happen in the sequel. I guess we will see!
Do you think this wave of donations is bad or good PR for the book itself?
