It’s Oct 21, 2015 which means Back to the Future is officially a thing of the past. The famous movie from the 1980s featured a variety of cool items found only in the future. The auto company Lexus, decided to take today’s significance and capitalize on it. Lexus announced the release of its version of the first successful hover board.
The hover board uses magnetic superconductors and liquid nitrogen make it operational, but it’s not the science behind the hover board that has enchanted viewers. Lexus strategically released the hover board on the day that Marty McFly arrived in the future. The hover board hype has already taken over the Twitter universe and is trending worldwide. Currently, the hover boards are not for sale and work only on a magnetic track however, they are the first successful hover board prototype and Lexus used a creative strategy by releasing them on Back to the Future day.
While this product is innovative and an exciting step in futuristic devices, I do not think the hover board will be successful. I believe the board has too many shortcomings and most likely it’s pricey. I think after Oct 21, 2015, the Lexus hover board will be forgotten replaced by the next trending topic. Do you think Lexus will succeed with this product?
